Cosplay of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
The costume took the group two weeks to construct and details are as below:

Cost: (All costs AUS)
Sword: The first one made was wooden, much more detail, but too heavy for the convention where the photo was taken, the second sword's estimated cost is 40 to 60 dollars.
Raw Material:
Med. Cotton Drill, black. $75 roll.
Calico. $25 roll.
Guittermen Thread. $9
Leather. $20
Zippers. $20
Strapping/Buckles etc: $50
Wig: $58
Top: $25 (I was going to make one, but ran out of time)
Gloves: Borrowed, Est Cost: $20
Ribbon: $5
Contact Lenses: $50
Earring: $50
Shoes: $45
Pants: $19
Sunglasses: $10
Make up: $20
Wrist Straps: $5
Shoulder Armour: $5 glue, rest is balloon and paper mache + black stocking XD
Wolve's Head: $8 ($3 dollars plasticine, $2 dollars silver enamel, $3 glue to harden it.)

Time:
Harness (Sword Holder): 26 hours
Side Cloak: 4 hours
Wig: My godbrother K-chan did it for me. Thank you!
Top: Bought (Sigh)
Sword: My good friend Cabbage (Who cosplayed Cid at the con) helped me make it. 8 hours. The wooden one took much longer.
Shoe Coverings: 5 hours. It was fiddly.
Pants: 4 hours.
Vambrace (cloth, should've been leather): 1 hour.
Shoulder Armour: 7 hours.
Wolf's Head: Oh the plasticine was painful. 18 hours.
Make up: 1 painful hour. Contacts took an hour and a half the first time. Ouch.
Buckling/strapping organization: 3 hours.
Design process: 50+ hours. LOL I drew the designs and stuff out on paper before trying to make the pieces. Painful.

Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair!

Not poppy, nor mandragora,
Nor all the drowsy syrups of the world,
Shall ever medicine thee to that sweet sleep
Which thou owedst yesterday.

Mm, it does hurt a bit, but after your eyes get used to them it's like wearing nothing. ^_^
Recommendation is to keep yourself well-watered all day so that your eyes don't dry out.
